TARMAC Aerosave becomes the first in the world to achieve triple AFRA accreditation
TARMAC Aerosave becomes the first company in the world to achieve accreditation from the Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association (AFRA) across all three scopes of aircraft disassembly, dismantling and recycling, with Diamond-level highest recognition.
In addition, TARMAC Aerosave announces the opening of a new 15,000 m² area dedicated to aircraft dismantling and recycling at its Tarbes facility, on the occasion of MRO Europe 2026. This extension, combined with the ramp-up of operations across the Group’s three sites, supports TARMAC Aerosave’s objective of doubling its processing capacity to up to 100 aircraft per year.
By combining the doubling of its industrial capacity with the recognition of its end-of-life aircraft processing activities, the Group reaffirms its ambition to support the evolving aviation industry by providing efficient and responsible solutions.
These two milestones further strengthen TARMAC Aerosave’s role in developing a more circular aviation industry, focused on preserving component value, optimizing resources and maximizing material recovery.
